20 Lessons Learned in Life

In my 26 years of existence, so many have changed from a naive child to becoming an adult. As time goes by, experiences taught me to be strong and competent. It  taught me many things in life from being selfish to generous, from hating to loving, aloof to sociable, timid to outgoing, predictable to being risky, from carefree to anxious, taking chances to being afraid, etc... I love to learn and I guess, I have never failed to learn. Though, sometimes I never learned at all (really). I dream high and big (this is the problem) ,but it never leads me to anything (as of now.) Thus, I get frustrated and disappointed. This leads me to wonder why I don't get what I want ,and it makes me wonder what I really wanted in life. Life is not easy. It has complexities that we can't fathom, contradictions and restrictions that we fail to see, limitations that we need to set, opportunities that we should not neglect but tend to take for granted, family to love and to cherish despite of everything, people to understand and not to mock and judge , enemy to forgive, neighbors to help, and so on... These are just some things that we need to see and appreciate.

I have listed 20 lessons learned (I learned) that I think are very useful:

1.  If you are not meant for something, don't push it. It will just make you unhappy. I believe that If God wants something for you, no matter what, it will happen...

2. I get tired of pleasing someone. Know that people get tired of understanding and loving. So, be nice and responsible all the time.

3. Your pride can eat you. This will make you miserable.

4. Love your parents no matter what.

5. Be nice to people who treat you right and with respect.

6. If you want to gain respect, respect yourself first.

7. Being too good to others all the time will sometimes lead to abusing your kindness.

8. Never let go of your dreams no matter what. Cling to it no matter how hard it gets.

9. Once in a year go to unfamiliar place and unwind.

10. Pray to God for all the troubles and worries you have.

11. Never trust a guy who says he loves you when you just met him for a short period of time. You should know that there are many people who will take advantage of your innocence and kindness.

12. Never give a guy the chance to make you vulnerable. If possible, don't give love 100%.

13. Never be in a relationship when you are not ready and if the person has bigger baggage than you.

14. Don't be afraid to go wherever your dreams will lead you.

15. Most of our emptiness, sadness and depressions are base on the fear that resides in us.

16. Don't let fear get in between you and  your happiness.

17. Invest for yourself and retirement.

18. Your health is your best doctor for without it, you will lose in the game.

19. Always put a smile on your face, it could be your best asset.

20. Let God be your captain and mentor. He never fails to surprise you!

Sunrise! It is a  rapturous feeling to see the beauty and wonder of the world. And one the most astonishing and serene wonders is contemplating on the beauty of sunrise and sunset. This simple errand- watching sunrise- will give you the peace of mind and contentment that most of us need in order to break free. And that is what people need today. 

We are living in a fast pace modern world where every gadgets are constantly changing and emerging. When you go to big cities, everything seems to move fast, everybody seems to be in a hurry, everyone is competitive and blatant thing is that you need money  to survive.  Everything we do always require haste and speed. It is inevitable  not to spend a little time with our family and enjoy life that does not require money to spend. But is it not wonderful to feel free and be like a child again? The moment I see the sun rises, it gives the perfect feeling of ecstasy and fantasy- like a child dreaming of a Neverland.

God is Watching Us

These past few months, I have been wondering why I got loads of baggages. I have so many plans that I'd like to undertake, however, I am always failing. But It is quite amazing how I managed to have other plans ( take note: improving level of plans). And with each plan, it never fails to amaze me. I don't usually get disappointed with the failures I have after my plans fail; however, I noticed that I get exhausted of waiting and planning for things that I'd like to achieve and have. 

Every night, as I lay down to bed, I talk to God about many things. I talk to him about my day- how tiring and inspiring it was. I talk to him about my fuss on relationships with family, friends and even strangers. I also get to talk to him about my plans on so many things like travel, places I wanna see, people I wanna be with and people I want to help and inspire. I never miss to ask him to make my dreams come true. I have a lot of things to say to him. But when I get so tired, I can't  even bid him goodnight. I just remember talking to him and realized that it is a morning sunshine already. When it is time to go to work, I always forget to pray and thank him. But when I realized that I offended him, I pray silently but honestly, it is always hasty. This is really sad. I am bad. Forgive me...

Sometimes, I wish God can talk to us. What if he can talk to us? What would he tells us? I wonder how he is going to respond to all my prayers. I wonder what he's going to say about my plans that are always changing. What is he going to say about the person I became? How is he going to assess me as a daughter and as his child? Did I fail him? I want to  know if He is happy with all that I am and I became. Have I been good or bad? 

I get really excited with the thoughts that God can talk to us (I mean literally talk as in chatting with God). Who wouldn't be? Right? And imagine if we can see His face (musing).

I remember having taken this photo and it had a semblance of a myth character , Zeus (Take a look closer).  I am wondering  what if God can really talk to us and what  if, we can see His face. Will this picture have a semblance of Him? That day when I took this photo is life changing moment for me. I told myself that I am lucky to have seen this photo, because it made me realized that someone is watching over me- that God is always been there for me, and that He is proud of me ( this moment was during my graduation day). What else could I ask for?

I think if God can talk to us, the world will be a peaceful and beautiful place to live. If He had a face, maybe, people will be afraid to commit a sin (who wouldn't if you see the most beautiful face in the universe?). But I am still happy that even if we cannot hear His voice, I know that He is listening attentively to all our prayers and queries even if it seems nonsense; even if we cannot see Him, I know that He is watching us, because He loves us. God is so Amazing and Great! Nothing compares to Him.
