The Long Road to New Discovery (road to Iligan City)

I have a weird feeling when I see a long road. A lot of thoughts are running through my mind when I see one. It scares me sometimes. But When I see a map, globe and itinerary , I feel like traveling. And traveling alone for me is something that is scary yet fun and of course- adventure! Many people love to travel and I am one of the many people who will save money just to travel and to give myself a reward of excitement and fun. You see traveling will give you a new feeling of confidence, relief and freshness.  But I have to admit that when you travel alone, there is always the fear of the unknown at the same time, the feeling of gaiety.

So, here we are with the map. Let's begin to make some history. What place am I going to visit? So many to think but one thing is for sure, I want to try land trip; but of course, I still prefer fast, comfortable and cheaper means of transportation. I will have to try both plane and bus. I just have to bring backpack, cellphone, map and wallet. That's all! And I can savor this moment.

Seeing the vast sky reminds me of how big my dreams are. I feel like I can just dream whatever I want. It is free and you are the boss in your own creative imagination.

And this is the moment I have been waiting to do in my entire life: to travel land trip. You see from the look of it, I am so excited with what my naked eyes can see and discover. I long to do this and hold on to the moment when your soul can  have a break and have a kitkat.

And my trip starts here:

Oh, I simply love to see the panoramic view of the vast field of rice and corn. I love to see the hardworking people who toil the  field just to make a living. I love to see the carabaos helping their owners.

You know why I love the road signs? Sometimes, when i look at it, I feel like it's telling me something about my life. Like I need to stop if I am going too fast and when it's a red signal. To go when it's a green signal, and U-turn when I need to go back and pack myself to where I started. Sometimes, we need to follow all of these instructions and directions  to minimize mistakes that we have committed repeatedly.

This nipa Hut reminds me of how simple life can be. I realized that God will provide everything we need. We don't need to have a big house if it is not a home. What we need is  a home and a family, and we can live in simplicity but full of love and harmony.

When my journey ends, I am simply amazed of what my naked eyes have seen and discovered. I thank God for the safe trip and whispered for more blessings to come.

After a long journey, my stomach deserves the indulgence of a fine dinner.

After a delightful dinner, I deserve a hot bath or a bubble bath in a Jacuzzi. Then, a warm spa of Shiatsu will do good to pacify my aching muscles, so I can have a good night sleep. And tomorrow is another day of adventure and fun. But I won't and should not forget to pray. It was a wonderful trip! I love you God!
